PRUfracture care
We understand you want coverage against minor accidental injuries
PRUfracture care is designed to give you more comprehensive protection ranging from minor to major injuries resulting from accidents. PRUfracture care offers payouts for fractures, burns and dislocations to provide medical assistance and also cushions the impact of lifestyle readjustments, until you recover. The benefit includes payout for mobility aids1 or modifications to your home2 to assist in daily activities. As a standalone plan, a benefit of $3,000 is payable, in the event of death.
Benefits
- Depending on the severity of fractures, burns and dislocations sustained, the payout will provide financial support for medical treatment and also other incidental expenses
- Double the payout3 for severe fractures and burns If the injury is a result of an accident which occurs while travelling on public conveyance
- Reimbursement for house fitting expenses2 and purchase or rental of mobility aids1 required as a result of the accident
- If the fractures, burns and dislocations payout is at least 40% of sum assured, you may claim a Recovery Benefit of up to $1,000 for one hospitalisation per accident depending on the plan you have chosen
- Covers you in event of accidental injury sustained while involved in high risk activities4 like scuba diving, rock climbing, wakeboarding and other activities when the fractures, burns and dislocations payout is at least 40% of sum assured

This is an Accidental Policy. No claims will be paid for any injury/ fracture/dislocation caused directly or indirectly by a medical condition, whether known or unknown (including but not limited to osteoporosis or bone disease) or its treatment.

| 1 | Mobility Aid Benefit: We will reimburse you for the Reasonable and Customary expenses incurred on purchasing or renting Mobility Aid(s) that has/have been recommended by the attending physician. The expenses are incurred within 180 days from the date of the Accident. We will only pay for expenses that are not reimbursed by any law, government programme(s), private or charitable programme(s) or other insurance policies. |

| 3 | Double Benefit Payout for Severe Fracture due to travelling in a Public Conveyance: We pay double Fractures, Burns and Dislocation benefit when the life assured sustains an Accidental Injury while travelling in a Public Conveyance AND the eligible payout is 40% and above.
“Public Conveyance” is a mode of transport which is available to the general public and which is used primarily to transport people from one point to another point in return for payment of a fare. For an Accident where more than one of the circumstances described in the Double Benefit Schedule is met, we will pay the claim for only one of the benefits, whichever is the higher. |
| 4 | We will reduce the sum payable of all benefits either by 50% or 75% in the event that the Accidental Injury of the life assured is a result of participating in any of the listed activities. Please refer to your policy document for the exact list of covered activities and sum assured. |
| 5 | This product is available to Occupation Class 1, 2, 3 and 4. However, customers engaged in certain high risk occupations would not be offered coverage. Note that Plan 3 and 4 will not be offered to - Customers classified under Occupation class 3 and 4 - Juveniles, Housewives, Retirees, Unemployed and Life Assured 61 Age Next Birthday and above at the point of application. |
| 6 | Premium rates will differ for standalone plans and will vary based on different occupational class and age at the time of entry. |
| 7 | If the life assured has made any PRUfracture care claims in the past and/or has more than one policy with us which provides the same benefits as those set out in the FBD Schedule, the cumulative claims payable under these policies cannot exceed 100% of the total sum assured of these policies or $100,000, whichever is lower. This is called the “Aggregate Limit”.
In the case where the total sum assured of all such policies held by the life assured exceed the set Aggregate Limit, we will cancel the policy(ies) with the excess sum assured (i.e. amount(s) above $100,000) and refund the premiums paid for the affected policy(ies) after adjusting for claims paid previously (if any) under these policy(ies). The claims payable under PRUfracture care which you may have with us and which provide the same benefits as those set out in the FBD Schedule, cannot exceed $50,000, if the life assured, at the point of application of the PRUfracture care policy: |
| 8 | Colles type fracture of the lower arm refers to the Distal end radius fracture without ulna fracture. |
| 9 | Each benefit can be claimed once in a lifetime. |
Note:
Buying life insurance is a long-term commitment. An early termination of the policy usually involves high costs and the surrender value payable may be less than the total premiums paid.
