Dr Aaron Gan is Consultant Hand Surgeon heading the Mount Alvernia Medical Centre and Mount Elizabeth Centre branches of CHARMS. Before joining CHARMS, he was appointed as Consultant in the Department of Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery of the National University Hospital.

Dr Gan specializes in hand and wrist sports injuries as well as degenerative hand and wrist conditions. National athletes, professional MMA fighters and other levels of sportspersons count amongst Dr Gan’s patients who have undergone treatment and rehabilitation leading to quick recovery back to sports. Dr Gan is also experienced in treating painful conditions in the hand and wrist with both non-surgical and surgical methods. Ligament injuries, tendinopathies and degenerative joint disorders in the hand and wrist are the most common conditions in this group of patients.

Dr Gan is also experienced in treating children’s hand and wrist conditions. He is often called upon to attend to hand and wrist injuries in children and adolescents. Dr Gan does reconstruction and corrective surgery for infants with congenital hand differences.

Dr Aaron Poh is a general surgeon practising in Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

His subspecialty is in colorectal surgery and trauma surgery. He also has a special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, minimally invasive gallbladder and hernia surgery, surgery for complex anorectal conditions (eg. haemorrhoids, anal fistula, anal fissure, pilonidal disease, faecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, and anal cancer), advanced endoscopy, colonic stenting, and rib fracture fixation.

Dr Poh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2004 and was accepted into the general surgery training programme in the following year. He completed his training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, pelvic exenteration and surgery for inflammatory bowel disease at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, in 2014.

He was then accredited as a specialist in general surgery by the Ministry of Health, Singapore in 2015. Since then, he's served in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a colorectal and trauma surgeon and as a trauma service lead in NTFGH.

Dr Adelina Wong is a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Adelina Women’s Clinic. She completed her MBBS at the National University of Singapore in 1992, and MRCOG at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London, in 1997. She is a seasoned and experienced obstetrician and an expert in gynaecological conditions such as cancer screening, treatment of cervical precancer diseases and vulva diseases.

Biography
Dr Alan Cheung, a British born Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in robotic joint replacement and sports injuries. He was previously appointed Consultant at Ng Teng Feng General Hospital. He started practising in private practice since 2017 and is now the Director of the International Orthopaedic Clinic. Our practice is located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.

Dr Alan Cheung graduated from University College London Medical School and completed his higher surgical training in London. He underwent his fellowship training in joint reconstruction and musculoskeletal oncology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney , Australia. He has undergone extensive surgical training in the USA in robotic surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in Asia to be trained in Makoplasty, Rododoc and Navio robotic surgical systems.

His interest in robotic surgery comes from using minimally invasive surgical techniques and aiming to improve outcomes and surgical precision.

Dr Alan specialised operations performed include : Wide range and various sports injury surgical interventionas, Hip, knee and shoulder surgeries ranges from joint preservation to joint replacement (makoplasty options),bone deformity corrective surgeries, fixation for fractures (sports and geriatric), minimally invasive pain interventional treatment (spine radiculopathy and neuropathic pain rotator cuff tear repair, shoulder instability repair, arthroscopic knee ligament injury reconstruction, treatment of meniscus and cartilage injuries, joint replacement surgeries. He also treats general sports injuries and Orthopaedic fracture conditions.

Dr Cheung is a keen athlete and heavily involved in the local sports scene in Singapore. He is the Team events doctor for the Singapore Cycling Federation, and Team Doctor for the Wrestling Federation of Singapore. He is a World Rugby educator and has been Matchday doctor for International Rugby events such as the HSBC Sevens and Super Rugby. He was also former medical lead for the One Championship and One Warrior Series Mixed Martial Arts events.

Biography

Adj Asst Prof Alex Teo is a Consultant covering both the University Spine Centre at the National University Hospital, as well as the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Alexandra Hospital.

He graduated from the prestigious University of Cambridge, and gained some experience working in the UK prior to completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training within the NUHS cluster in Singapore. He has obtained a Masters of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from the National University of Singapore, and has been appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

His main specialty interests are in degenerative and traumatic conditions involving the spine, and he continues to actively pursue excellence in clinical research and medical education on top of his regular clinical commitments.

Dr Alex Tham is an Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) – Head and Neck Surgeon. He is fellowship trained in Advanced Rhinology (diseases of the nose and sinuses) and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery. Prior to his current practice, he served as a Consultant at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and a Visiting Consultant to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

He completed his medical school training at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and went on to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in Singapore. During his residency, he obtained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a Master of Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) from NUS. Following the completion of his surgical residency training, he was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health Scholarship for fellowship training. This was fulfilled on a one-year clinical fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery in 2021, at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada.

He is active amongst the local and international ENT communities where he currently serves as the treasurer of the ASEAN Rhinologic Society, and as an executive committee member of the Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Singapore.

He is also passionate about teaching and nurturing the next generation of doctors where he served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (Nanyang Technological University), and a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (National University of Singapore).
