OUR ROBOT TRAINER
Hey Aryani! Tell us what you do at Prudential.
My work involves building conversation flows which are then trained into our chatbot. I also train colleagues to train the bot. Part of my job involves visiting our agency offices to show our financial consultants (FCs) how to use the bot to help them in their work and reviewing feedback provided by FCs regarding the chatbot. I also work with a team to make improvements based on feedback provided.
What’s a typical work day like for you?
A typical workday would involve working with IT on the progress of our next chatbot enhancement. This will also involve meeting with vendors to ensure that our business requirements are met and that the project is on schedule. When not meeting with other departments or vendors, I spend a lot of time reviewing content and building the conversation flows which are then trained into the chatbot by myself or our other chatbot trainers.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Meeting our financial consultants to learn from them what they would like to see in askPRU, what they would find most useful, and how we can build more features in askPRU to help them provide an even more awesome service experience to their clients.
Tell us about one memorable experience in your time at Prudential so far.
We were doing an askPRU demo to a group of 200 Financial Consultants and were showing them a new feature that would give them a breakdown of how much would be deducted from Medisave and how much would need to be paid in cash for PRUshield premiums. Mid-way through the demo, the 200 FCs broke out in applause and shared their feedback that they found this very useful. This was one of the first features we built based on our FCs feedback and requests and this made our team realise that it is important to touch base with our FCs and speak with them to learn what they would find most useful before building more features.
