About Prudential Platinum Card

The Prudential Platinum Card is a co-brand credit card issued by Standard Chartered Bank.

The credit card is open to all applicants who meet the minimum age and income criteria*.

To qualify, you must be between 21 to 65 years old and earning an annual income of S$30,000. For foreigners, the minimum qualifying income is S$60,000 per year.

Simply contact your Prudential sales representative or our PruCustomer Line at 1800 333 0333 for an application form. Alternatively, you may download the application form for a Principal Card. 

Yes, as long as you meet the minimum age and income criteria, you can apply for the credit card*.

* Application is subject to the bank's approval

Annual fee for the first two years is waived. With a retail spending (including your Prudential insurance premium charged to the card) of S$6,000, the subsequent year's annual fee will be automatically waived.

The processing time is usually 14 working days from the date the bank receives your application complete with the full set of documents.

Annual Fees & Supplementary Cards

The main cardmember can apply for up to five supplementary cards. To qualify, the supplementary card applicant must be at least 18 years old.

Yes, these will be credited to the main cardholder's account.

The annual fee is S$192.60 w/GST. Supplementary cards are free for life as long as the main card is valid.

Annual fee for the first two years is waived. With a retail spending of S$6,000 (including your Prudential insurance premium charged to the card), the subsequent annual fee will be waived.

Insurance Redemption

You can use the cash equivalent that is converted from your reward points to pay for your Prudential premiums. This applies to any Prudential regular premium policy. Recurrent single premium policies, USD policies, single premium policies, top-ups and policies purchased under CPF investment Scheme, CPF Private Medical Insurance Scheme, and Supplementary Retirement Scheme are not eligible for premium redemption.

You can call the Standard Chartered Bank 24-hour Client Contact Centre at 1800 747 7000  for a redemption request form.

Alternatively, please click here to download a redemption request form. The completed form should be faxed to 6305 1701 or mailed to Standard Chartered Bank, Banking Operations, Tampines Central Post Office, P.O. Box 226, Singapore 915208.

It will take 2 weeks to process your redemption request. You need to continue to pay all your Prudential premiums until you are notified that the redemption has been effected. If your premium amount is already deducted, we will credit the amount redeemed for your next Prudential insurance premium due instead.

You must offset your insurance premiums in blocks of 300 reward points (equivalent to S$1.20), subject to a minimum of 3,000 reward points (equivalent to S$12.00).

No, your reward points can be converted to its cash equivalent to pay the premiums for your Prudential regular premium policies only.

Yes, you can. You can offset your parents, parents-in-law, spouse, children, brother and sister's Prudential insurance premiums.

Yes, your reward points will expire in 3 years' time from the card account opening date. You will need to redeem your reward points against your insurance premiums at least 1 month before the reward points expire.

Otherwise, the bank will redeem your unused reward points for your following year's annual fee. This applies only if you have sufficient reward points to offset your annual fee.

My Benefits

With the Prudential Platinum Card, your everyday purchases (including Prudential Insurance premiums charged to the card), can help insure the ones you love. For every S$1 that you charge to the card, you'll earn reward point, which can be converted into its cash equivalent (3,000 reward points = S$12.00) to pay for your next Prudential premium or buy additional Prudential insurance coverage.

You can use reward points earned to renew your Prudential Platinum Card membership, or redeem for other items from the Standard Chartered Bank rewards catalogue. For such redemptions, please call the Standard Chartered 24-hour Platimum Service Line on 1800 788 3133.

Your reward points balance, as well as reward points earned and used each month, will be printed in your monthly credit card statement.

Other Matters

Please report the loss to Standard Chartered Bank by calling the Standard Chartered 24-hour Client Contact Centre at 1800 747 7000. Your liability may be limited to $100 if you comply with clause 7.2 of Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card Terms.

Yes. There will be a late fee charge if Standard Chartered does not receive the minimum payment by the due date. Please call the Standard Chartered 24-hour Client Contact Centre at 1800 747 7000 for details of the applicable fee.

The minimum payment is $50 or 1% of principal plus interest, fees and charges plus any overlimit amount and past due amount, which is greater.

You can call the Standard Chartered 24-hour Client Contact Centre at 1800 747 7000 for a replacement ATM PIN. There will be a charge of S$20 as a new card will have to be issued with your new ATM PIN.

Regular Premium Payment

It is a process where existing policyholders can pay their Prudential insurance premiums by using their Prudential Credit Card.

No, there will be no premium payment charges incurred for paying your Prudential regular premiums using your Prudential Platinum Card.

You can pay for your own Prudential premiums or your family members*.

* "Family Members" refer to your spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, brothers and sisters.

Yes. Both Main and Supplementary cardholders are eligible to pay Prudential insurance premiums using the Prudential Platinum Card.

Note: Only the Main cardholder can apply to use reward points to offset against Prudential insurance premiums.

All regular premium plans are eligible for the Prudential Regular Premium Payment except for:

  1. Single premium policies
  2. Recurrent single premium policies
  3. Top-ups
  4. USD policies
  5. Policies purchased under CPF Investment Scheme, CPF Private Medical Insurance Scheme and Supplementary Retirement Scheme.

Premiums for Enhanced Accumulator Option (Regular) to PRUlink assurance account (PAA), PRUlink protection account (PPA) and PRUlink protection plus account (3PA) would be eligible for Prudential Platinum Card Regular Premium Payment together with other PAA/PPA/3PA regular premiums.

You can opt to pay your Prudential regular premium on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly basis. Please ensure your regular premium amount charged is within your credit limit.

Yes. For every S$1 charged to your Prudential Platinum Card, you earn reward point  which can be converted to offset your next Prudential insurance premium.

Note: If you use your Supplementary Card to pay for your premium, only the Main cardholder can apply to utilise the reward points for redemption.

No, upon the activation of your Regular Premium Payment, Prudential will automatically cancel your existing GIRO arrangement.

To terminate your Regular Premium Payment, you can call your respective Prudential Financial Consultant or PruCustomer Line at 1800 333 0333 to get the appropriate form. Alternatively, you can write to Prudential Assurance Co. Singapore (Pte) Ltd, Robinson Road PO Box 492, Singapore 900942.

Upon receiving your Prudential Credit Card Regular Premium Payment application form, we will take at least 7 working days to process your request and effect the new payment method.

When your Prudential insurance premiums are successfully charged to the card, your policy number and amount charged will be reflected on your next credit card statement.

Note: No premium notice or official receipt would be sent upon the approval of your Prudential Credit Card Regular Premium Payment application.

Yes, you can if you do not already have a Prudential Platinum Card. Upon successful approval of your Prudential Platinum card, you can charge your subsequent premiums to the card.

You can obtain the Prudential Platinum Card application form from your Prudential Financial Consultants or Prudential's Customer Service Centre. Alternatively, you can download the application form here and submit to Standard Chartered Bank.

In the Prudential Platinum Card application form,

(i) Fill up the Prudential Platinum Card application form.
(ii) Enclose a copy of the following supporting documents:

Mandatory Supporting Documents For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents

  • Copy of NRIC (front and back)
  • Income Documents for Salaried Employee and Commission Earner
    • Copy of computerised payslip
      Salaried Employee: Current or previous 1 month's payslip from current employer
      Commission Earner: Last 3 months of Commission Statement from the same current employer; OR
    • Copy of latest Income Tax Notice of Assessment (NOA) OR
    • Copy of last six months' CPF Contribution History Statement  from current employer
  • Income Documents for Self-employed
    • Copy of latest Income Tax Notice of Assessment (NOA)

Mandatory Supporting Documents for Foreigners

  • Copy of Passport (with at least 6 months validity)
  • Copy of Employment Pass (Foreigners must be holders of P1, P2 or Q type Singapore Employment Passes. Q Pass holders must have minimum one year validity remaining on their passes).
  • Income Documents
    • Copy of computerised payslip
      Salaried Employee: Current or previous 1 month's payslip from current employer
    • Copy of latest Income Tax Notice of Assessment (NOA)
  • Please provide any ONE of the following documents:
    • Latest utility bills (electricity, water, refuse collection), rates or tax bills
    • Latest Bank or Credit Card Statements (e-Statements are acceptable)
    • Copy of rental agreements showing your address
    • Latest mobile phone statements/paid TV statements
    • Letter from employer stating current address
    • Government issued documents stating current address (e.g. IRAS, CPF, ICA)

Forms not accompanied with clear copies of required documents or with incomplete information will cause a delay in processing.


(iii) Submit your Prudential Platinum Card application and supporting documents to Standard Chartered Bank directly.

Upon the approval of your Prudential Platinum Card, use the Regular Premium Payment application form to apply for your next Prudential insurance premium to be charged via your Prudential Platinum Card.

Prudential will notify you by post on the confirmation of your Prudential Credit Card Regular Premium Payment.
