A. Contest Details

1. Definitions
1. “Prudential” means Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Pte) Limited.
2. “Promotion Period” means the period between 1 January 2023 – 31 July 2023 (both dates inclusive)
3. “Eligible Customer” means any Prudential policyholders with a PRUShield and/or PRUExtra policy(ies):
   1. who have received the targeted SMS or email;
   2. currently without any recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card, or GIRO during the Promotion Period; and
   3. satisfy the eligibility criteria below.
4. “Eligible Insurance Plan” means PRUShield and PRUExtra
5. “Gift” means a $10 gift e-voucher from any of the merchant listed below. Please note that the merchants are subject to change.

   1. Grab Transport	6. Frasers Property
   2. Grab Food	7 Lazada
   3. Deliveroo	8. Dairy Farm
   4. Fairprice	9. Amazon Singapore
   5. Apple

6. “Promotion” means enrolment of PRUShield and PRUExtra policies, including other Prudential regular premium policies on recurring payment.
7. “Switch & Win $100 Draw Prize” means a $100 gift e-voucher from any of the merchant listed in (e). Please note the merchants are subject to change.
8. “Grand Travel Draw Prize” means a $3,000, $2,000 or $1,000 travel e-vouchers each from UOB Travel. Please note the merchant is subject to change.
9. “Switch & Win $100 Winner” means the:
   1. Ten (10) winning Eligible Customers with an Eligible Insurance Plan who are determined by drawing at random to receive the Switch & Win $100 Draw Prize.
10. “Grand Travel Draw Winner” means the:
    1. Three (3) winning Customers with an Eligible Insurance Plan who are determined by drawing at random to receive the Grand Travel Draw Prize.
2. Eligibility

Gift

In order to be eligible for the Gift, the Eligible Customer has to satisfy the following requirements during the period between 1 January 2023 – 31 July 2023 (both dates inclusive) known as the “Promotion Period”:

1. The Eligible Customer must enrol their PRUShield and PRUExtra policy(ies) for recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-based Visa/Master credit card/ debit card or GIRO for any Eligible Insurance Plan and accepted by Prudential during the Promotion Period.
2. The Gift is valid for monthly and annual premium payment modes.

Switch & Win $100 Draw

In order to be eligible for the Switch & Win $100 Draw, the Eligible Customer has to satisfy the following during the period between 1 January 2023 and 31 March 2023 (both dates inclusive) known as the “Promotion Period” in order to stand a chance to win the Prize(s) (as defined below), provided always that you satisfy all the qualifying criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions:

1. Any Eligible Insurance Plan enrolled on recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card or GIRO, and accepted by Prudential within the Promotion Period are eligible for Switch & Win $100 Draw chances.
2. Customer can also sign up for recurring payment for other Prudential regular premium policies during the same period mentioned above to increase the Switch & Win $100 Draw chances.
3. This lucky draw is valid for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual premium payment modes.
4. Eligible customers who received the Gift are eligible to participate in the Switch & $100 Draw.

Grand Travel Draw

In order to be eligible for the Grand Travel Draw, the Eligible Customer has to satisfy the following during the period between 1 January 2023 and 31 July 2023 (both dates inclusive) known as the “Promotion Period” in order to stand a chance to win the Prize(s) (as defined below), provided always that you satisfy all the qualifying criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions:

1. The cumulated number of Switch & Win $100 Draw chances will roll over to the Grand Travel Draw provided the Eligible Plan and the other Prudential Regular Premium policies remain in-force and there is no change in the recurring payment method enrolled.
2. Any additional Eligible Insurance Plan and Prudential Regular Premium policies that the Eligible Customer sign up for recurring payment during the Promotion Period will be awarded as Grand Travel Draw chances.
3. This Lucky Draw is valid for monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual premium payment modes.
4. Eligible customers who received the Gift and/or Switch & Win $100 Draw Prize are eligible to participate in the Grand Travel Draw.
3. Promotion and Lucky Draw Mechanisms

Gift

The Gift is open to all Eligible Customers who have satisfied the eligibility requirements for “Gift” above. The Eligible Customers must also fulfil the terms and conditions to be entitled to the Gift.

Switch & Win $100 Draw

The Switch & Win $100 Draw is open to all Eligible Customers who have satisfied the eligibility requirements for “Switch & Win $100 Draw” above.

1. Each Eligible Customer is eligible to enter the Switch & Win $100 Draw to stand a chance to receive a $100 gift e-voucher (“Switch & Win $100 Draw Prize”).
2. There will be ten (10) winners in total.
3. The winners for the Switch & Win $100 Draw (“Switch & Win $100 Draw Winner”) will be drawn at random at 1400 hrs on 26 April 2023 (“Switch & Win $100 Draw Date”).
4. Lucky Draw chances will be awarded based on the cumulated number of Eligible Insurance Plan and other Prudential Regular Premium policies enrolled on recurring payment arrangement within the period of 1 January 2023 to 31 March 2023 (both dates inclusive) provided the policies are in-force and recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card or GIRO enrolment is successful and remains as the recurring payment method as at the date of Switch & Win $100 Draw. The more Prudential policies an Eligible Customer enrolled into recurring payment arrangement, the higher the chance of winning the Switch & Win 100 Draw.
5. Each Eligible Customer may win a Gift and a Lucky Draw prize during the promotion period.

Grand Travel Draw

The Grand Travel Draw is open to all Eligible Customers who have satisfied the eligibility requirements for “Grand Travel Draw” above.

1. Each Eligible Customer is eligible to enter the Grand Travel Draw to stand a chance to receive either a $3,000, or $2,000 or $1,000 travel e-voucher (“Grand Draw Prize”) each.
2. There will be three (3) winners in total.
3. The winners for the Grand Travel Draw (“Grand Trave Draw Winner”) will be drawn at random at 1400 hrs on 23 August 2023 (“Grand Travel Draw Date”).
4. Lucky Draw chances will be awarded based on:
   1. The cumulated number of Eligible Insurance Plan and other Prudential Regular Premium policies awarded for Switch & Win $100 Draw, provided the policies are in-force and recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card or GIRO enrolment is successful and remains as the recurring payment method as at the date of Grand Travel Draw.
   2. Any additional PRUShield and/or PRUExtra and other Prudential Regular Premium policies on recurring payment arrangement during the Promotion Period will be awarded as Grand Travel Draw chances. The more Prudential policies an Eligible Customer signs onto a recurring payment during the promotion period, the higher the chance of winning the Grand Travel Draw.
5. Each Eligible Customer may win a Gift and Lucky Draw prizes during the promotion period.
4. Gift and Prizes

Gift

“Gift” means a $10 gift e-voucher from any of the merchant listed in 1(e). Please note that the merchants are subject to change. The number of Gift that Each Eligible Customer will be entitled to depends on the number of Eligible Insurance Plan enrolled on recurring payment.

Prizes

1. Switch & Win $100 Draw Prize

Switch & Win $100 Prize means a $100 gift e-voucher from any of the merchant listed in 1(e). Please note the merchants are subject to change. Each Eligible Customer will be eligible to a Gift and Switch & Win $100 Prize.

2. Grand Travel Draw Prize

Grand Travel Draw Prize means either a $3,000, $2,000 or $1,000 travel e-voucher each from UOB Travel. Please note the merchants are subject to change. Each Eligible Customer will be eligible to a Gift, Switch & Win $100 Prize and Grand Travel Draw Prize.

5. Gift/Prizes Redemption

Gift

Prudential will issue an SMS or Email (“Redemption Notification”) to each Eligible Customer on monthly basis from February 2023 onwards provided that the Eligible Customer’s Eligible Insurance Plan are in force and recurring payment via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card or GIRO enrolment is successful and remains as the recurring payment method as at the date of the Redemption Notification.

Eligible Customers shall be solely responsible for ensuring that they provide Prudential with a valid phone number or email address for the purpose of redemption. The Eligible Customer agrees and accepts that Prudential will not be responsible for any consequences arising from his/her failure to provide Prudential with a true, complete and accurate phone number or email address and/or notify Prudential of any change(s) to his/her phone number and email address.

Gift must be redeemed within two (2) months from the date of Redemption Notification. If an Eligible Customer fails to claim his/her Gift within the stipulated redemption period in the Redemption Notification, his/her Gift will be forfeited, and the Eligible Customer shall not have any claim against Prudential for such forfeiture. Further details of the redemption procedures will be set out in the Redemption Notification.

Lucky Draw

Prudential will issue an SMS or Email (“Redemption Notification”) to the winners two (2) months after Switch & Win $100 Draw which will be held on 26 April 2023 and Grand Travel Draw which will be held on 23 August 2023 respectively, provided that the Eligible Customer’s Eligible Insurance Plan are in-force and recurring payment arrangement via a Singapore-issued Visa / MasterCard credit card/debit card or GIRO enrolment is successful and remains as the recurring payment method as at the date of the Redemption Notification.

Eligible Customers shall be solely responsible for ensuring that they provide Prudential with a valid phone number or email address for the purpose of redemption. The Eligible Customer agrees and accepts that Prudential will not be responsible for any consequences arising from his/her failure to provide Prudential with a true, complete and accurate phone number or email address and/or notify Prudential of any change(s) to his/her phone number and email address.

The Grand Travel Draw Prize must be redeemed within the six (6) months validity period as stipulated in the Travel e-voucher attached in the Redemption Notification. If an Eligible Customer fails to redeem his/her Prize within the stipulated redemption period, his/her Prize will be forfeited, and the Eligible Customer shall not have any claim against Prudential for such forfeiture. Further details on the redemption procedures and Terms and Conditions specific to the Travel e-voucher will be set out in the Redemption Notification.

B. General Terms and Conditions

1. By participating in the Promotion and Lucky Draw, each Eligible Customer is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any other instructions, terms and conditions that Prudential may issue from time to time.


2. Prudential assumes no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, illegible or misdirected forms or email communication, for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic transmission which may limit an Eligible Customer’s ability to participate in the Promotion and Lucky Draw.


3. Prudential will endeavour to hold the Lucky Draw on and at the advertised date, time and venue and by the mode (manually or electronically) as advertised, but reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to conduct the Lucky Draw at another date/time/venue or by another mode in such circumstances as Prudential may deem appropriate.


4. Prudential has the sole and absolute discretion to exclude any Eligible Customers from participating in the Promotion and Lucky Draw without any obligation to furnish notice and/or reason.


5. Prudential reserves the right to disqualify or disregard any Eligible Customer who does not comply with the Terms and Conditions.


6. Prudential may at its discretion forfeit the Gift/Prize, or, if already awarded, reclaim the Gift/Prize at the expense of the Winner without payment, compensation, or having to give any reason whatsoever in the event Prudential subsequently discovers that the Winner is not eligible to participate in the Promotion and Lucky Draw and/or to receive the Gift/Prize.


7. Gifts/Prizes are subject to availability while stocks last. Prudential reserves the right to replace any Gift/Prize with items of similar value at any time without prior notice.


8. Prudential shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to, defects, delay, mis-delivery or non-delivery of the Gift/Prize.


9. Prudential reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed Gift/Prize in any manner it deems fit. Prudential reserves the right to request for the Winners’ proof of eligibility, identity and/or otherwise for the purposes of verifying the Winner’s claim to the Gift/Prize at the time of prize collection. Prudential is under no obligation whatsoever to disclose the identity of the Winners or to publish the same for any reason at any point of time.


10. The Gift/Prize is not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other items of equivalent value. The validity period of the Gift/Prize is non-extendable. Prudential will be under no obligation to replace or pay to Winner the value of any Gift/Prize that are not utilised by the Winners before the end of the validity period of the Gift/Prize as may be stipulated by Prudential and/or relevant merchants.


11. By participating in this Promotion and Lucky Draw, each Eligible Customer agrees and consents under the Personal Data Protection Act (Cap 26 of 2012) to the collection, use and disclosure of any and all personal data of the Eligible Customer by/to Prudential, advertising and promotional agencies of the Promotion and such other third party, in Prudential’s absolute discretion, consider appropriate or necessary in connection with the Promotion and redemption of Gift/Prize.


12. If an Eligible Customer provides Prudential with personal data of any third party, that Eligible Customer hereby:
    1. Agrees on behalf of that third party to be bound by the Terms and Conditions contained herein; and
    2. Consents on behalf of that third party, to Prudential’s collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data in accordance with the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
    
    The Eligible Customer warrants that he/she has obtained the said third party’s prior consent to such collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data by Prudential and that the personal data that the Eligible Customer provides to Prudential is true, accurate and complete.


13. Prudential shall not be liable for any third party’s misuse of the Eligible Customer’s submitted information and photograph as a result of the Eligible Customer taking part in the Promotion and Lucky Draw.


14. Unless prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion and Lucky Draw constitute permission for Prudential, its advertising and promotional agencies to use any of the Eligible Customers’ names, and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes. Each Eligible Customer further agrees and acknowledges that the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all photographs or audio-video or other recordings of the Eligible Customer taken or made in connection with the Promotion shall vest solely and absolutely in Prudential without any compensation to the Eligible Customer.


15. Prudential may at any time at its absolute discretion, without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof or being liable to any person, (i) suspend, cancel or terminate the Promotion and Lucky Draw, or (ii) delete, vary, supplement, amend, modify any one or more of the terms and conditions of the Promotion and Lucky Draw. Prudential’s determination of all matters in connection with the Promotion and the Gift/Prize shall be final, binding and conclusive. Prudential is not obliged to give any reason or prior notice on any matter concerning the Promotion or the Gift/Prize. No appeal, correspondence or claims will be entertained. Prudential has the right and discretion to determine whether a party has met the requirements of the Promotion and Lucky Draw and/or to receive the Gift/Prize. Eligible Customers shall not be entitled to any damages or compensation whatsoever or howsoever arising as a result of such amendment, suspension or termination.


16. By participating in the Promotion and Lucky Draw, all Eligible Customers agree and undertake to, at all times, indemnify, keep indemnified, and hold Prudential, its employees and agents harmless against all losses (including direct, indirect, incidental and/or consequential losses), damages (including general, special, and/or punitive damages), demands, injuries (other than personal injury caused by Prudential’s negligence), claims, costs, penalties, interest and fees (including all legal fees as between solicitor and client or otherwise on a full indemnity basis whether or not incurred in respect of any real, anticipated, or threatened legal proceedings), howsoever caused by, arising or resulting from, whether directly or indirectly, their participation in the Promotion and Lucky Draw, acceptance or usage of any Gift/Prize, and/or any breach or purported breach of these Terms and Conditions and/or any applicable law.


17. Prudential makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the merchants’ goods and services in respect of the Gift/Prize. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the merchant. Merchant terms and conditions apply.


18. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the Terms and Conditions and the contents of any brochure, marketing and/or promotional materials relating to the Promotion Draw, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.


19. Any trademarks, graphic symbols, logos or intellectual property contained in any materials used in connection with this Promotion, in particular the Gift/Prize, are the property of their respective owners. Prudential is not affiliated with, or endorsed or sponsored by, such owners and their relevant affiliates.


20. Failure by Prudential to exercise any of its right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.


21. The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore law and the Eligible Customers agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.


22. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Right of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
