How does the Mental Wellness Programme (MWP) work?
Mental wellness is a fundamental component of overall health, influencing our thoughts, emotions, and interactions with the world. Understanding the importance of maintaining mental well-being, our programme offers all PRUShield customers a tool to assess your current mental health and access to different types of care and support.
By completing a PHQ-9 assessment, you can gain insights into your emotional state and determine if further support might be beneficial. Your personalised results will help clarify whether additional steps could enhance your well-being. We are here to ensure you have the resources and support necessary to nurture your mental wellness and live a balanced life.
At Prudential Singapore, we aim to be your trusted partner in preventive healthcare by providing access to early intervention through Chronic Care Management.
Log in to PRUServices and navigate to: Popular Services > More Services > Health Services > Mental Wellness Assessment.
How to join the Mental Wellness Programme:
- Depending on the assessment result, you may be provided with a link to book a GP consultation at a Raffles Medical Clinic.
- If the GP determines that additional specialist assistance is required, they will refer you to a Raffles Specialist.
FAQs
All PRUShield policyholders can complete an online PHQ-9 mental assessment by clicking the “Mental Wellness Assessment” button after logging in to PRUServices.
Upon completing the assessment, you will receive your result immediately through your registered email address. If the results indicate a need for further support, you will be provided with a link to schedule an appointment with a GP. Should the GP determine that specialist care is necessary, they will refer you to a Raffles Medical Counsellor or Psychiatrist for additional assistance.
All medical information of policyholders obtained under the MWP are confidential and Raffles Medical Group will not share the policyholder’s medical records or test reports with Prudential Singapore.
The MWP is offered to all PRUShield policyholders. Firstly, logging to PRUServices to complete Mental Wellness Assessment. Secondly, after completing a brief online mental health assessment, you will receive the result and a recommended follow-up action to determine whether enrollment in the Mental Wellness Programme is necessary.
Unfortunately, appointments can only be made with the Raffles Medical Clinics included in the drop-down list. These are the locations that have resources to provide these services.
The PHQ-9 is a widely recognized questionnaire used to assess the severity of depression. It is a brief survey that evaluates your emotional state, helping to identify any signs of depression. The results provide insights that can guide further steps, such as whether additional mental health support may be beneficial.
By participating in the programme, you can gain a clearer understanding of your mental health status, access personalized recommendations, and receive support to enhance your overall well-being. The programme aims to empower you with the tools and resources necessary to maintain mental wellness and live a balanced life.
Unfortunately, walk-in appointments are not available for Mental Wellness Programme. First you need to complete the PHQ-9 assessment, which can be assessed via PRUServices. If the assessment indicates that further evaluation is necessary, you will then be able to book an appointment with a GP to determine whether enrollment in the Mental Wellness Programme is recommended.
There is no charge to take the PHQ-9 online assessment as they are eligible for all PRUShield policyholders via PRUServices.
